NGOs Release USAID-aided Policy on Renewable Energy, Air Quality in Vietnam

The Green Innovation and Development Center (GreenID) and the center for living and learning for the environment and community Live & Learn have introduced a policy on promoting renewable energy for the improvement of air quality and public health in Vietnam, which got financial aid from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), local media reported. The document digs into two key issues, which are electricity development in relation to air pollution and opportunities, potential in boosting renewable energy’s advantages to air quality enhancement and public health. The two organizations suggested building a law on clean atmosphere with detailed regulations to upgrade air quality and manage emissions in electricity sector.
