Plan International Launches Phase 3 of USAID-funded Resilience Proj in Vietnam

The UK-based independent development and humanitarian organization Plan International on July 24 launched phase 3 of the Building Resilience to Natural Hazards in Central Vietnam project in the central province of Quang Tri, which is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), state media reported. The $554,700 sub-project in Quang Tri is part of the project’s phase 3 costing $2.9 million slated to be implemented between March 2019 and March 2020 with more than 180,000 benefiting residents. The sub-project will be implemented in six communes namely Trieu Lang, Trieu Van, Huong Hiep, Mo O, Huc, and Xy, with over 17,000 benefiting locals. In the first two phases with a total cost of over $4 million, the project directly benefited over 147,000 people and indirectly benefited nearly 674,000 people in the four target provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Ha Tinh, and Quang Tri.
