Poland Gives $4M Medical Supplies to Vietnam in Aid of COVID-19 Fight

Poland has donated medical supplies worth nearly $4 million to Vietnam in support of the Southeast Asian country with the fight against COVID-19, state media reported. The batch of medical equipment and supplies arrived at Ho Chi Minh City-based Tan Son Nhat International Airport on September 11. Polish Ambassador to Vietnam Wojciech Gerwel handed over the gift to Deputy Health Minister Nguyen Truong Son. The medical package included 70 ventilators, 30 heart monitors, 10,000 eye goggles, 5,000 medical facemasks, 5,000 protective gears, 400,000 gloves, and other equipment. Three weeks ago, Poland gave over 500,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Vietnam. (Lao Dong, Bao Quoc Te)
