Providing Free Medical Checkups and Treatment in Remote Areas

On January 25th, a club of young doctors from Tien Yen regional hospital provided health check-ups and treatment for poor people in Khe Muoi village, Dai Thanh, Tien Yen district, Quang Ninh province. Khe Muoi village is a disadvantaged village in the remote Dai Thanh commune. There are 34 households, most of them are Dao ethnic minority. About 30% of households are poor families. The delegation provided free over 50 medical pharmaceuticals. Local people were also provided information about the prevention of common diseases such as flu and diarrhoea. The delegation also visited and presented gifts to five households in special difficulty and nearly 100 second-hand warm clothes to ethnic people. (http://dangcongsan.vn Jan 27)
