Second Vietnam Studies Center Inaugurated in Thailand

On June 8, the College of Asian Scholars (CAS), a private university in Khon Kaen, Northeast Thailand, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen, inaugurated the "Vietnam Studies Center" on its campus, local media reported.

This is the second such center in Thailand, following the one at Udon Thani Rajabhat University, reflecting the growing interest of Thai people in Vietnam and the Vietnamese language.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Consul General Chu Duc Dung noted that the establishment of the Vietnam Studies Center marks a new phase in the university's development, aligning with the flourishing Thailand-Vietnam relations and the increasing demand for knowledge and cooperation between the two countries across various fields, including politics, economy, culture, society, tourism, and sports.

He expressed hope that the new center would regularly collaborate with the Vietnam Studies Center at Udon Thani Rajabhat University, working towards Khon Kaen University awarding degrees in the Vietnamese language.
