Small Grant Scheme from CARE International in Vietnam

Civil Action for Socio-economic Inclusion Program in Northern Vietnam (CASI) is one of the pioneering initiatives in the field of civil society strengthening for increased rights and voice of marginalized people within ethnic minorities in the Northern areas. The CASI program has since its inception in 2002 with the cooperation of different forms of civil society (including informal community-based groups, networks, Vietnames Non-Governmental Organizations (VNGOs), mass organizations and media). After ten years, CASI has been positively contributing to the development of civil society in the participation process to the development of Northern ethnic minority community.

The CASI program in 2013 - 2015 aims at: Civil society organizations and representatives of those who are at risk of socio-economic exclusion among Northern ethnic minorities are increasingly involved in setting the agenda for more inclusive development approaches and policies.
