South Korea Presents Scholarships to Thua Thien-Hue Students

Kyungdong University of South Korea on May 11 granted scholarships worth VND26 billion ($1.17 million) to 42 high-school students in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue who are going to learn at the university. Among these students, five received full-tuition scholarships, while 28 are provided with 70% of tuitions and nine with 50% of tuitions in four years. The first exam for Kyung University scholarships was organized in July 2015 for students across Vietnam. Through this exam, the university chose 568 outstanding students to receive scholarships totaling over VND91 billion. The scholarship granting aims to intensify the Vietnam-South Korea relations and boost the bilateral cultural and educational cooperation. About 4,500 Vietnamese students are currently pursuing education in South Korea. (http://english.vov.vn/ May 12)
