Tens of Thousands of Poor Provided with Medical Insurance Cards

The Ho Chi Minh city Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients in collaboration with Hanwha Life has presented 9,561 medical insurance cards, worth nearly VND2 billion, to poor people in 8 localities. Accordingly, the medical insurance cards have been provided for poor people in Ho Chi Minh city, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Dak Nong, Kon Tum, Quang Tri and Ca Mau. In Ho Chi Minh city, 310 initial cards worth VND186 million have been allocated to disadvantaged families in Tan Binh district. This is the 4th year the program has been carried out. Earlier, from 2014-2016, under the program, 27,260 medical insurance cards worth over VND6.3 billion were distributed to poor people in 14 localities across the country. (Tin Tuc Mar 22)
