USAID Provides Training Courses on COVID-19 Response to Vietnam

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has supported a COVID-19 response training program for Vietnamese medical students amid the recent development of the pandemic in the Southeast Asian country, according to the VOA Vietnamese news service. As many as 600 medical students from the Hai Duong Medical Technical University in Vietnam’s northern province of Hai Duong joined the program, the VOA Vietnamese said. Earlier in 2020, the USAID-funded Improving Access, Curriculum and Teaching in Medical Education and Emerging Diseases (IMPACT MED) Alliance also provided a training course for 176 faculty and 5,580 senior students in ten medical universities in Vietnam in COVID-19 treatment work.
