Vietnam’s Government Adds VND502.9B to Anti-COVID-19 Fight This Year

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has issued Decision 314/QD-TTg on adding VND502.9 billion ($21.68 million) to the country’s anti-coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) fight this year, state media reported. The money will be sourced from this year’s central budget reserve for the Ministry of Health (MoH) to buy some anti-pandemic medical equipment. Last year, Vietnam was estimated to have spent VND18 trillion ($775.86 million) on activities to prevent and contain the COVID-19 and aid people hit by the pandemic, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) announced.
