Vietnam to Add Cybersecurity Contents into High Schools from 2021

The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) has issued Circular 46/2020/TT-BGDDT to add the contents of cybersecurity into the training program of high school students, state media reported. The circular will take effect on January 11, 2021. Accordingly, grade 10 students (first class of high school) will study some basic concepts of network, cybersecurity, personal information confidentiality in the cyberspace environment, and contents of the Law on Cybersecurity. Besides, students will be taught about some tricks of intruding and distributing malicious code or fake information in cyberspace to secure personal information. The Law on Cybersecurity of Vietnam officially took effect on January 1, 2019. (Thoi Dai, Thoi Dai)
