Vietnam Agro Ministry, World Bank to Form 2030 Water Resources Group

Officials from Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and the World Bank (WB) had an online meeting on February 24 to discuss the establishment of the 2030 Water Resources Group (2030WRG), state media reported. The 2030WRG Vietnam, expected to make debut in March, will help increase the efficiency of water use in Vietnam, especially in the agricultural sector, said 2030WRG Program Manager Karin Krchnak. Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh, head of the MARD’s Water Resources Directorate, noted that the 2030WRG Vietnam will focus on water-saving solutions in key areas, including south-central region, Central Highlands, and Mekong Delta.
