Vietnam Announces 8 Draft Subjects of Ethnic Minorities Languages

Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) has announced eight draft subjects of ethnic minorities’ languages within the new general curriculum 2018, state media reported. The eight languages are for ethnic minorities of Bahnar, Cham, Ede, Jrai, Khmer, Mnong, Mong, and Thai (Tay). The subjects are free elective between grade 1 (first grade at primary schools) and grade 12 (last grade at high schools). The general curriculum 2018 has seven foreign languages of English, German, Japanese, Korean, French, Russian, and Chinese. (Giao Duc Thoi Dai, Dai Doan Ket)
