Vietnam, Australia Discuss Net Zero Emission Strategies

Experts from the University of Sydney Vietnam Institute and Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies (HIDS) discussed strategies for achieving net zero emissions at a workshop in Ho Chi Minh City on June 17.

The workshop featured Australian experts sharing their experiences in reducing net emissions through national reconstruction funds, carrying out renewable energy and carbon capture and usage campaigns, and ensuring suitable infrastructure development. Developing synchronized policies is also crucial.

Meanwhile, HIDS representatives outlined the city’s action plan to achieve net-zero emission, focusing on restructuring industrial zones with high-tech, low-emission technologies. They emphasized the approval of key documents, including the action plan for the National Green Growth Strategy for 2021-2030 and the Circular Economy Development Plan for 2022-2025.
