Vietnam Blended Learning Program (VBLP) Grant – Round 6

The World Bank invites organizations to apply for VBLP Grant Round 6 sponsored by the Australian Government’s Aid Program (AusAID) through the management of Vietnam Development Information Center (VDIC).

The purpose of this VBLP Grant is to support Vietnamese local institutions’ projects through the use of innovative learning methodology in their education and training programs. Specifically, selected institutions are expected to:

1.Use Information Communications Technologies (ICTs), such as video-conferencing and multimedia tools and resources, to increase knowledge sharing with specialists and practitioners nationally and internationally;
2.Use blended learning design and facilitation methods to ensure the learning experiences to be engaging, effective and inspiring for project’s participants and wider beneficiaries; and
3.Integrate ICTs and action learning design and facilitation methods into project activities to respond to development needs which are in line with the Australia’s Strategic Approach to Aid in Vietnam 2010 – 2015.

Grant amount: Selected institutions will receive an amount of approximately US$30,000 for implementing their proposed activities.

Project theme: There is no limitation of theme; priorities will be given to projects which propose an effective and innovative use of ICTs in capacity building activities.

Project implementation timeline: 6 - 8 months after being awarded.

Selection process: Short-listed Expressions of Interest will be invited to present their proposed ideas and some can proceed to developing full proposals. Grant award will be given to the selected best proposals.
