Vietnam Central Provinces Receive 6.2K Essential Supplies from Belgian Embassy

Belgian Ambassador to Vietnam Paul Jansen on June 10 handed over 6,200 essential packages to three Vietnam’s central and Central Highlands provinces, via the program “Mitigating Preschool Children’s Barriers to Learning in Disadvantaged and Ethnically Diverse Districts” (BAMI), state media reported. The packages comprising face masks, soap bars, and hand towels will be delivered to preschools in the central provinces of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai, and Central Highlands province of Kon Tum in aid of preventing the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The ambassadors and the delegates also visited Tra Mai commune in Quang Nam province, one of the areas of the BAMI program. Operated by the Flemish Association for Development Cooperation and Technical Assistance (VVOB) with revenue worth EUR4.1 million, the BAMI program concentrates on enhancing educational quality in ethnic minority areas’ preschools in three above central provinces in 2017-2021.
