Vietnam to Chair Global Initiative for Green Growth PG4 in 2025-2027
Vietnam will hold the chairmanship of the Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (PG4), a global initiative that brings together business, government, and civil society organizations in innovative public-private partnerships, in the 2025-2027 period, succeeding Colombia, state media reported.
The information was discussed at a meeting between Vietnamese Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh and Colombian Ambassador to Vietnam Miguel Rodrigues Melo in Hanoi on September 14.
The Colombia side pledged to support the Vietnamese delegation at the upcoming PG4 Summit in Bogota on September 29-October 1, as well as the chairmanship of Vietnam in the 2025-2027 term, Mr. Miguel Rodrigues Melo said.
For his part, Minister Khanh expected to expand cooperation between the two environment ministries. He hoped to soon work with his Colombian counterpart to promote collaboration in environmental protection, the sustainable management and use of renewable natural resources, and climate change response.
