Vietnam Education Ministry Launches Job Portal for Students

Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) on June 23 launched a job portal at for students, as a result of European and Vietnam Collaboration Project of Employment of Graduates (EVENT), state media reported from an event in Hanoi to review the EVENT. The portal is a cooperation between universities and institutes from Vietnam, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Spain. Besides, EVENT’s survey showed that 90% of university graduates found jobs after six months of graduation. It also noted that the hardship for university graduates is to find job suitable to their profession and expectations, but not to find jobs. As a result, participants at the event suggested the MoET focus on career path guideline for learners and expand the EVENT to more sectors. Concluding the event, the European side noted that the EVENT has completed and will be extended to boost the Vietnam-European Union ties. (Nhan Dan, Giao Duc Thoi Dai, moet)
