Vietnam Founds First Plasma Thinktank ARIPT, Seeks Tech Application

Vietnam on April 22 founded the first research institute of plasma technology (ARIPT), in a bid to perform a deep dive into cold plasma applications towards manufacturing cost reduction and the country’s sustainability. The think-tank sets the goals of conducting research, scholarship cooperation, and application in plasma physics and liquid; holding activities relevant to technology transfer; offering consultation and encourage tech transfer; and performing manufacturing and plasma-based product commercialization. In Vietnam, cold plasma technology is widely known in health sector. Some science-technology organizations initiated foundational study on bringing this future technology in material and environmental sciences. (VietQ, VietQ)
