Vietnam Founds Steering Committee for Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity

Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has officially founded the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity under Decision 91 signed by Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung. With 30 members and Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung as the head, the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity aims to research and recommend directions, policies, mechanisms to create a legal environment to make the MIC become the leader in digitalization and cybersecurity. Besides, it contributes to build e-government, boost the digital transformation, and protect the safety of MIC’s cyberspace. Vietnam ranked 55th in the world for digital transformation with 41 points, becoming the digital adopters, according to the 2020 Global Connectivity Index released by Huawei.
