At the event, delegates discussed cooperation between Vietnam and Germany in protecting the soil environment, challenges to Vietnam in conserving soil, and the legal framework and reform in this regard, among others. Some German experts tipped ways to support Vietnam in better protecting the soil environment.

In addition, Dr. Thomas Strassburger, head of the department of soil protection and remediation and mining law, expected that Vietnam would have more remarkable outcomes in protecting the soil environment and hoped that Germany could assist Vietnam in ensuring the agricultural land area for food security safeguard.
