Vietnam Hanoi Aims at 90% of Disabled Children Accessing Education by 2030

Vietnam’s Hanoi capital city has set a goal of having 90% of its children with disabilities at the age of preschool and general education access education by 2030, state media reported. The information was reported from the latest plan of the Hanoi’s People’s Committee to support people with disabilities in the period of 2021-2030. Accordingly, Hanoi aims to help 80% of children with disabilities at the age of preschool and general education access education by 2025, and raise the rate to 90% by 2030. As many as 70% of people with disabilities will be supported by jobs and vocational training by 2025, while the figure will be 80% by 2030. The plan also pointed out some supports for people with disabilities in other fields. Hanoi sets a goal to support 80% of people with disabilities to access medical services by 2025 and 90% by 2030. Besides, the city targets to build 80% of new constructions by 2025, and reach 100% by 2030. Half of Hanoi’s localities will have sports clubs for people with disabilities, attracting 10% of people with disabilities by 2025.
