Vietnam Honors 166 Students of Ethnic Minorities

Vietnam on November 25 honored 166 students of 25 ethnic minorities from 35 localities for outstanding achievements in 2018, such as earning prizes at national contests, gaining high scores at national high school exam, and graduating from universities with honored rankings, state media reported. The event, which took place in Hanoi, was co-hosted by the government-run Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh stressed that the Communist Party of Vietnam and the State always set top priority on education and training, including for the people of ethnic minorities.
