Vietnam Hospital, AstraZeneca Partner to Enhance Cancer Treatment

Vietnam’s National Cancer Hospital (K Hospital) and AstraZeneca Vietnam have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate in the healthcare sector, focusing on cancer research and improving treatment quality in the Southeast Asian country, local media reported.

The MoU signed on June 27 as the number of new cancer patients significantly increased to 200,000 in 2024 from 69,000 in 2000 in Vietnam.

This partnership aims to speed up scientific research, enhance international integration of the hospital, and improve cancer treatment quality for patients in northern provinces and nationwide.

To promote healthcare equality, the two sides plan to develop a national cancer prevention network and implement the "Love Your Lungs" program to raise early lung cancer screening awareness in the community.
