Vietnam L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science Project Seeking New Applicants

The Vietnam L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science National Fellowship Project will officially kick off in search of candidates to award science scholarships on July 31 – September 30, state media reported. The award for three female scientists the 2019 National Outstanding Scientist Scholarship is valued VND150 million ($6,437) each. In addition, the winners will be nominated to participate in the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Rising Talents in 2020. This scholarship program is for under-fifty female scientists, who are working in Vietnam in two majors: Materials Science and Life Science. The awards were granted by the For Women in Science Program, launched by the L’Oreal Group and UNESCO in 1998 and implemented in Vietnam in 2009. The Women in Science has grown into a global program that includes international, regional and national fellowships and an international network of more than 2,000 women in more than 100 countries.
