Vietnam Launches another Emergency Hotline

Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved an emergency rescue communication project, adding 112 as a nationwide crisis helpline number, state media reported. The new hotline number is expected to strengthen the effectiveness of rescue work, reduce the loss of human lives and damage to private and public property. A national centre for controlling all rescue work in the country will be set up. The new number will be connected to available numbers so that the authorities can quickly receive and access information. (Thoi Bao Kinh Te – Economic Times Feb 5 p2)
