Vietnam Ministry, USAID Join Hands in Higher Education Development
Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) has partnered with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to launch a project to develop higher education in Vietnam, state media reported.
The “Higher Education Policy Support (HEPS)” project will be carried out from September 2023 to August 2028, aiming to support the leadership of the MoET in strengthening the legal framework for higher education development.
It will help connect American universities and their expertise and resources in support of the ministry’s goals.
It will assist the MoET and some selected universities in performing digital transformation and higher education internationalization.
The HEPS also expects to expand higher education access and raise the participation of women, youngsters, people with disabilities, and ethnic minority people in important discussions on the future of education.
The project will cooperate with the MoET to build training content and curriculums and enhance the capacities of units engaging in the Vietnamese higher education system.
