The Vietnamese Prime Minister has signed off on the construction of three bridges with a total investment of VND4.8 trillion ($200 million) in the Mekong Delta province of Long An, the provincial Department of Transport said on July 30.

Of the sum, VND4.06 trillion in official development assistance (ODA) is expected to come from South Korea and the rest from the local government.

The three bridges, with six lanes each and over Can Giuoc, Vam Co Dong, and Vam Co Tay rivers, are expected to be carried out in 2025-2030. Once operational, they are expected to form a route from Ho Chi Minh City to Tien Giang province.
