Vietnam Records 24,800 Dengue Fever Cases, 28,600 HFM Cases in H1
Vietnam recorded 24,800 dengue fever cases and 28,600 hand-foot-mouth cases in the first half of this year, according to the latest figures of the government-run General Statistics Office (GSO).
During this period, the country also logged 450 suspected measles cases, 44 rabies deaths, 208 viral encephalitis cases, 11 meningococcal meningitis cases, one death from Influenza A, and 55 poisoning cases with 2,397 patients (with six deaths).
As of June 18, Vietnam had 238,200 people alive infected with HIV, while 114,900 people had been killed by HIV/AIDS, the GSO said.
