Vietnam Records 277.3K Dengue Fever, 89.8K HFM Cases in Jan-Nov: GSO

Vietnam recorded 277,300 dengue fever cases (including 49 deaths) and 89,800 hand-foot-mouth cases (including one deaths) in the first 11 months of this year, according to the latest figures from the government’s General Statistics Office (GSO). In January-November, the country recorded 8,200 measles cases (including three deaths), 553 viral encephalitis cases (including 13 deaths), 26 Typhoid fever cases (including one death), and 1,723 food poisoning cases (including nine deaths). As of November 18, Vietnam had 209,980 people infected with HIV, including 96,990 people entering AIDS stage, while around 98,470 people had been killed by HIV/AIDS. (GSO, GSO)
