Vietnam Wins Six Medals in Asia Physics Olympiad

The Vietnamese student team has won six medals at the 17th Asian Physics Olympiad held in Hong Kong from May 1 to 9, state media reported. According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the eight students won three silver and three bronze prizes alongside two honorable mentions and all of them are twelfth graders from gifted schools in Hanoi, Quang Binh and Nam Dinh. The Asian Physics Olympiad, the premier physics competition for pre-university students from Asian countries, is modeled after the International Physics Olympiad.
