Vietnamese Doctors Live-Stream Brain Surgery to LINNC PARIS Conference

From the International General Hospital S.I.S Can Tho in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, Vietnamese doctors have performed two complex brain vascular interventions, live-streaming them to the LINNC PARIS conference in Paris on June 3 for 500 international experts, local media reported.

On June 4, Vietnamese Deputy Health Minister Associate Professor Tran Van Thuan congratulated Dr. Tran Chi Cuong, medical director of the International General Hospital S.I.S Can Tho, and the hospital staff for marking another milestone for Vietnamese medicine on the global map.

The International General Hospital S.I.S Can Tho was one of the five centers to be selected to perform live case interventions for the conference attendees. It was also the only hospital in Southeast Asia invited to conduct a live case.

Dr. Cuong believed that the hospital's success is attributed to the support and direction from the Ministry of Health and Can Tho City in promoting digital transformation and medical technology application, particularly the implementation of telemedicine platforms for remote consultation.
