Vietnamese Scientists Win Global Health Award

A group of Vietnamese scientists has won the EUR1 million ($1.1 million) Grand Prize at The Trinity Challenge, an organization dedicated to finding innovative solutions to the world's greatest health challenges, local media reported.

Their project, Farm2Vet, a virtual veterinary platform, triumphed over 285 impressive solutions from teams across 57 countries to secure the top award at The Trinity Challenge 2024.

The research team developed Farm2Vet with the goal of addressing the critical issue of antibiotic resistance in veterinary medicine, identified as one of the top 10 global health threats.

Dr. Phi Thi Linh Giang, the project leader, stated that Farm2Vet is seen as the beginning of many similar projects, bringing long-term benefits to hundreds of millions of farmers in low- and middle-income countries worldwide. The project aims to protect the health of billions of consumers by promoting clean and safe food from farms.
