Vietnam's Hospital, U.S. GE HealthCare Ink Deal, Launch AI-Powered CT Scanner

On May 15, Vietnam’s Tam Anh General Hospital System and U.S. medical technology leader GE HealthCare signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement and launched the world's most advanced AI-powered CT scanner, the 1975-slice CT machine, local media reported.

The signing ceremony featured representatives from the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh, various departments in Ho Chi Minh City, and senior leaders from both firms.

A representative from GE HealthCare highlighted that the 1975-slice CT scanner at Tam Anh Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City is the 130th system worldwide and the first in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

In addition to the delivery of the 1975-slice CT scanner, GE HealthCare and Tam Anh General Hospital System also signed a strategic cooperation agreement covering four key areas, (i) transferring global medical technologies, training doctors in diagnostic imaging, holding scientific seminars on new medical methods, and conducting research projects to support the development of advanced medical devices.
