A wartime bomb exploded on January 7 in Nghia Hanh District in Vietnam’s central province of Quang Ngai after being hit by an excavator, injuring one person and damaging several houses. The explosion reportedly took place at 02:30 p.m., shaking the surrounding residential area. While the construction unit was repairing and upgrading a section of Provincial Road 624 in Trinh Phu Nam village, the excavator operated by the unit struck a bomb, triggering an explosion. There were no fatalities from the explosion, but at least 10 surrounding houses were damaged heavily.
