WB-funded Wastewater Treatment Plant Opened in Southern Vietnam

A new wastewater treatment plant in the southern province of Binh Duong, a sub-project of the World Bank (WB)-funded project to build water drainage and wastewater treatment systems in Di An town, was put into operation on November 30 after 18 months of construction, state media reported. The 6.8-hectare plant, with a total investment of over $115.2 million, has a daily capacity of 20,000 cubic meters. The WB-funded project has benefited about 40,000 people living in the wards of Binh An, Di An, Tan Dong Hiep, An Binh, and Dong Hoa of Di An town. (TuoiTre, plo.vn, nhandan.com.vn)
