WB Official Hints MoNRE to Address Air-Water Pollution

Mr. Ousmane Dione, Country Director of World Bank (WB) for Vietnam, recommended the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) focus on air-water polluted issues on the meeting on June 10, state media reported. At the meeting, Mr. Ousmane Dione remarked that Vietnam’s Law of Protecting Environment which was approved will handle such disadvantages of air quality as well as water pollution. The WB’s official also praised the Vietnamese government’s efforts on controlling the coronavirus diseases 2019 (COVID-19), and suggested Vietnam about the policy of boosting the economy after the pandemic. For his part, the Minister Tran Hong Ha congratulated Mr. Ousmane Dione on his former appointment as well as a new position in the next time.
