WB to Provide $10M for Khanh Hoa to Upgrade 8 Water Reservoirs by 2020

Vietnam’s central coastal province of Khanh Hoa will use loans of $10 million from the World Bank to upgrade eight local water reservoirs in the next five years, said Le Xuan Than, vice chairman of the province’s executive body People’s Committee. According to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Khanh Hoa has 19 water reservoirs with total designed capacity of 248 million of cubic meters. The reservoirs have degraded and incapable to provide enough water for the local agriculture during the dry season, and unsafe in raining season. (cand.com.vn Apr 11)
