Firstly, we would like to announce two appointments, of INGO Representatives at the Consultative Group Meeting: Ms. Thao Griffiths, Country Representative from the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (new representative); and Ms. Kim N. B. Ninh, Country Representative from the Asia Foundation (re-elected). Members of the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre will receive more details shortly through the 'members' mailing list.

There are three Working Group meetings remaining in August: the Disaster Management Working Group will meet on August 20 (02:00 PM) at the NGO Resource Centre; the Community-Based Tourism Network will meet on August 25 (04:00 PM) at Da Paolo Restaurant, No. 18, Lane 50/59/17, Dang Thai Mai St, Hanoi; and the HIV/AIDS Technical Working Group will meet on August 25 (02:00 PM) at the School of Public Health, 138B Giang Vo St, Hanoi.

Firstly we take this opportunity to inform you that, at ActionAid International Vietnam (AAV), Mr Phan Van Ngoc  completes his five-years' tenure as the Country Director on August 15.  We wish Mr Ngoc all the best for his future endeavours. Ms Hoang Thi Phuong Thao will be the new Country Director of AAV, and starts office from August 1. We also extend our best wishes to Ms Thao as she takes up this position.

Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for 1 - 15 July 2010!
We are pleased to report that Catholic Relief Services is welcoming its new Country Representative for Vietnam, Ms Sanda Rihtman. Sanda has worked for CRS for more than 13 years in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, as part of the organisation's global Emergency Response Team and most recently as Acting Country Representative in the Philippines.
We would also like to thank Sanda's predecessor as CRS Country Representative, Andrew Wells-Dang, for his involvement with the work of the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre, and wish him all the best for the future..
