Resizing images is useful as large photos often use more disk space and are slow to load. A free online resource that allows you to manipulate the size and pixels of photographs is called GIMP.   GIMP is a free program that runs on MS Windows, Mac OS X, and UNIX for working with photos and other images. GIMP is similar to Photoshop and Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
