Programme Officer

FAMILY HEALTH INTERNATIONAL (FHI) is an international non-governmental organization that works with the Vietnam Ministry of Health, other national ministries, provincial health services, and local non-government organizations to promote the health and well-being of the Vietnamese population, particularly vulnerable and disenfranchised groups. FHI is currently building the capacity of local organizations in HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment; clinical research for the development of vaccines and drugs for infectious diseases; and laboratory strengthening.

They are currently seeking qualified, experienced and highly motivated Vietnamese national for the position of Program Officer – Drug Use Interventions, Treatment and Capacity Building, Hanoi Based.
The position will be responsible for supporting the implementation of palliative care clinical capacity building initiative for PEPFAR and MoH partners. These include the facilitating coordination of in-service training, practicum and clinical mentoring.

General qualifications and requirements:
- Medical doctor (MD) with preferably a Master’s degree in public health or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in program management of HIV, reproductive health or other health related program in Vietnam.
- Experience in designing and implementing HIV/AIDS care and treatment project, including the introduction of ARV and Methadone Maintenance therapy.
- Ability and enthusiasm to learn new areas and willingness to contribute to a dynamic team. 
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
- Experience with computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Internet.
- Work experience with NGOs/INGOs is preferred but not mandatory.
