Converting documents to PDF streamlines and maintains the original document’s formatting as well as being a more secure format from viruses.   

There are many programs that allow you to convert files into PDF format such google docs. Another free alternative is Open Office. Google Docs allows you to access your documents from any internet enabled computer while allowing you to upload existing documents from a file, another website, or via email. You also have the ability to share your documents privately or publicly with the option for other viewers to edit the document.
