Community-based climate change initiatives documentation by CCWG

On 8th December, at Vietnam Pavilion, Le Bourget, Paris, France - as a side event of COP 21 (Climate Change Negogitation Conference of UNFCCC), CCWG has launched the new documentation namely "Community-Based Climate Change Initiatives in Vietnam" with experiences of the members of the network. EMWG's report on a case-study on ethnic minority women's participation in economic development

Dear EMWGers,

Following the coordination of Gender and Community Development Network (GenComNet), Domestic Violence Prevention Network (DOVIPNET) and Network for Empowerment of Women (NEW) together with 21 organizations and networks working on gender in Vietnam, the EMWG prepared one part of the Article 14 (Rural women) of the Convention on Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) with subject: The participation of ethnic minority women in economic development.

EMWG's report on supporting CEMA to develop the particular program on socio - economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, period between 2016 – 2020

Dear EMWGers,

In 2015, the EMWG has supported Committee for Ethnic Minorities' Affairs (CEMA) to develop a particular program on socio - economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, period between 2016 – 2020. The Draft of the particular program was submitted to the Prime Minister by the end of June 2015 and is awaiting for his approval. A report on results of the consultation process amongst relevant partners was made as a source of reference information for the development process of ethnic minority policies in the future.
