Dear Colleagues,


 On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), in close
collaboration with UN Agencies and NGO partners, Live & Learn for
Environment and Community would like to invite you to a workshop on **

*“Sharing experiences and strengthening co-operation to support Climate
Change Education in Vietnam”*,

to be held on the

29th March 2011.


The goal of the workshop is to support the effective implementation of
National Action Plan on the Education Sector Response to Climate Change and
National Action Plan on Education for Sustainable Development.

*Objectives*

The objectives of the workshop are:

1.    To showcase good practices and experiences about education relevant to
climate change (CC) and disaster risk reduction  in Vietnam

2.    Increase co-operation and network development between organisations
active in the field of climate change education

3.    To mobilise support for integrating education on CC into educational
programmes and school curricula in Vietnam

*Workshop Programme*

   - *Time:* 8:00 to 16:30, Tuesday 29th March 2011
   - *Venue:* Information Centre for Integration (ICI - Trung Tam Thong Tin
   Hoi Nhap Quoc Te), 35 Dien Bien Phu, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.
   - *Participants:* Representatives of the Ministry of Education and
   Training, UNESCO, research institutes, universities, Provincial Departments
   of Education and Training, Vietnamese and International non-governmental
   organisations working in the Climate Change Field
   - The workshop will be honoured by the presence of the Vice Minister of
   Education and Training Mr Nguyen Vinh Hien, and UNESCO Assistant
   Director-General for Education Dr Qian Tang.

Mục đích của hội thảo:

1.       Giới thiệu các mô hình thực tiễn và chia sẻ các kinh nghiệm trong
giáo dục về biến đổi khí hậu tại Việt Nam;

2.       Tăng cường hợp tác và phát triển mạng lưới các tổ chức hoạt động
trong lĩnh vực giáo dục biến đổi khí hậu;

3.       Tăng cường hỗ trợ trong việc tích hợp nội dung giáo dục biến đổi
khí hậu vào chương trình giảng dạy tại Việt Nam.

Chương trình hội thảo:

●      *Thời gian: *8:00 – 16:30 giờ, thứ Ba ngày 29/3/2011

●      *Địa điểm: *Hội trường Trung tâm Thông tin Hội nhập quốc tế (ICI), 35
Điện Biên Phủ, Ba Đình, Hà Nội

●      *Đại biểu tham gia*: Đại diện Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo, UNESCO, các
viện nghiên cứu, trường Đại học, Sở Giáo dục và Đào tạo các tỉnh, các tổ
chức phi chính phủ trong nước và quốc tế hoạt động trong lĩnh vực giáo dục
và biến đổi khí hậu

●      Hội thảo vinh dự có sự hiện diện của Thứ trưởng Bộ Giáo dục và Đào
tạo Nguyễn Vinh Hiển và Trợ lý Tổng giám đốc UNESCO phụ trách giáo dục ông
Qian Tang.
