Terms of Reference

Research Assistant

 

 

 

HFHI Vietnam is looking for 3 Research Assistants that will conduct
household survey in randomly selected families in Thai Binh with the
following tasks:

 

Description of tasks 

 

-          Be available for a half-day's orientation on the survey
instrument (August 20, pm).

-          Locate the randomly selected beneficiaries for the study.

-          Conduct household survey (August 21-22).

-          Ensure that field questionnaires are complete and properly edited
before submission to HFH Vietnam

-          Encode data in an excel spreadsheet (Aug. 22, pm).

 

 

Person specifications   

Ideal candidates will have:

-          Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent qualification

-          At least two years of research experience

-          Proficiency in all components of Microsoft Office Excel

-          Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

-          Experience in conducting field research 

-          Ability to use survey instruments  

-          Good communication skills, both the local language and English

-          Good knowledge of the NGO environment and Experience of working
in the NGO Sector is an added advantage 

-          Familiarity of the location where the survey will be held (Nam
Hong, commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh Province).

 

 

Terms of Payment:

 

The total lump sum amount of this household survey is US$ 10 for every
completed instrument. This covers all expenses including but not limited to,
accommodation, transportation, meals, and other incidental expenses.
