*Description:* This workshop is intended for local organizations who are
interested in learning more about the work of the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID) in Vietnam and in opportunities for
partnership.  The workshop will provide an overview of USAID activities,
business processes, and describe in detail a call for concept papers under
the Development Grants Program for Vietnam.

*RSVP:* Interested participants must RSVP with their name, organization,
and country of citizenship by Tuesday, July 23rd at 12:00 to
hanhnguyen at usaid.gov.  Please bring identification with a photograph with
you for building access.

This year, USAID is calling for applications from Vietnam to award directly
to local organizations, including private entities, local non-governmental
organizations, and others, covering the following themes:

-- Sustainable Economic Development of Ha Long Bay Vietnam
-- Climate Change Adaptation and Youth
-- Land Tenure and Property Rights Awareness with Emphasis on Gender
-- Local Capacity in Support of Women Farmers
-- Services for Vulnerable Populations/Disability

The objective of the program is to foster sustainable development through
the support of local
socio-economic development
initiatives and capacity strengthening of these organizations.
