Dear colleagues,
UNICEF, in collaboration with the Norwegian Embassy , will host a visit of
the Child Ombudsman to Viet Nam. Taking this opportunity of the presence
of the Child Ombudsman in Viet Nam, UNICEF is pleased to invite the UN
human rights working group as well those who are interested in HRs to a
lunch meeting in order to share knowledge and experience from international
and Norwegian models of Child Ombudsman with concrete examples such as its
mandate, structure, functions and financing. After his presentation, we
will discuss which model might be suitable and how to apply such a model to
establish an independent child monitoring mechanism such as Child Ombudsman
in Viet Nam.
Time: 12:00-13:30 on 26 November 2013
Venue: Conference room, UNICEF Office
Address: 81 A Tran Quoc Toan street
