[Disability-vn] Experienced Occupational Therapist looking for Volunteer work December January 2014-5

I am writing to you to seek some useful volunteer work for a period of 6-10
weeks at the end of this year, from late November until lunar new year 2015.

I am a very experienced Occupational Therapist, now retired. I have worked
extensively in rehabilitation and later specialised in designing and making
individualised pieces of equipment for special needs for ten years in
Melbourne  see  http://www.solve.org.au/

*Solve Disability Solutions** (formerly TADVIC)* is a not-for-profit
organisation that makes and modifies equipment for people with disabilities
whose needs cannot be met commercially.

I managed this small voluntary organisation for ten years. We always made
equipment from  simple materials at low cost which should bea useful skill
for most disability services who always have few resources.


 I am lucky to have two very good Vietnamese friends living in Ho Chi Minh
City,  whom I met  when they were studying in Melbourne, Australia.

I have visited Vietnam 3 times in the last 18 months and travelled with my
friends and
their families.  This is one of the reasons I hope to work in HCMC or nearby,
as I have enjoyed my visits and I will have friends to share time with
outside working hours.

I am very happy to correspondwith any NGO contacts where my skills could be
useful.
