[Disability-vn] Urgent Fwd: Invitation to UNICEF consultation meeting on school readiness for children with disabilities-14h00-15h30-Monday 24March2014

Dear colleagues from UNs, International and local NGOs working on 
disability field and DPOs,

As part of the work plan for 2012-2016 between Ministry of Education and 
Training (MOET) and UNICEF Viet Nam, a consultant team from Toronto 
University, Canada has been contracted to carry out a study which aims 
to examine: (a) readiness of schools to provide inclusive education to 
children with disabilities, in doing so, the overall education system at 
all levels will be also examined; (b) readiness of children with 
disabilities to go to school and to have education; and (c) readiness of 
community to support children with disabilities to go to school and have 
education.

For the 1^st phase of the study, the consultant team will collect 
data/info from 8 UNICEF supported provinces with field work in 3 out of 
the 8 provinces and will have consultation meetings with various 
stakeholders from 24March to 3April2014.

You are kindly invited to a consultation meeting amongst UNs, 
International and local NGOs working on disability field as well as DPOs.
