Dear JANI colleagues,
The national CBDRM program has been established in 2009 through the Prime Minister Decision 1002 and aim to support 6,000 communes to implement a Community Based Disaster Risk Management Approach from this date up to 2020. With expectation is to share the lesson learnt and best practices related to the project “Awareness raising for community and community-based disaster risk management” (Project 1002), we would like to invite you to participate the “National Workshop on Sharing lesson learnt & best practices related to implementation of the National CBDRM program” which will be chaired by the Disaster Management Centre (MARD).

Date:                    full day of 18th December 2013
               Venue:                 La Thanh Hotel (218 Doi Can street, Ba District, Hanoi)
               Key contents:

-        Present the key findings of study on progress/feedback on the National CBDRM program (under JANI project);

-        Present the key findings of budget tracking study on financing DRR (&CCA) at local level (under JANI project);

-        Share the lessons learnt & best practice related to rolling out the National CBDRM program at provincial level (under Joint Partnership Project of CARE, Plan, SAVE);

-        Recommendations for implementation of the Project 1002 in future.
